Have your kids or teens ever wanted to create their own piece of street art? This Freehand Workshop offers an exclusive chance for kids and teens to learn a variety of spray-painting techniques from a renowned street artist right here at the famous Blender Studios.
The workshop will start with an artist talk from the facilitator and street art demonstration where they will cover a range of different 'can' skills to get kids and teens started on their spray-painting journey.
Spraypaint is a challenging medium to work with and our artist is here to guide them through all the insider tricks of the trade. After a few practice activities where you will experiment with different techniques in our dedicated spraypainting venue, participants will then head back to the classroom for a short sketching and design session.
Armed with an individual design, we will then head back outside to create our final masterpiece for the day. Kids and teens will paint onto a large wooden board (90x90cm) which they have the option to take home for a $10 materials fee.

  • 5/5 from Marnie Higgs, attended Jan 2023: My son absolutely ADORED this class! The two teachers were amazing, very engaging with the kids and my son learnt heaps about street art and the process/how to/sketching etc. Although my son is on the younger end at 10 years old he still was able to do and participate in all components of the class. The main teacher helps the kids with the finishing touches (if the kids choose) to tighten up their work which just makes everything POP! My son is overjoyed with the board he completed and took home - we're already deciding where to hang his first piece of street art.
  • 5/5 from Jaki Comerford, attended Jan 2023: Absolutely brilliant. Will definitely recommend 100 times over to anyone with kids who love art
  • 5/5 from Harry Cootes, attended Jan 2023: My 12 year old son did this class with his friend this week and LOVED it. There were multiple teachers looking after the group (he had James who he said was brilliant) and the whole experience, I am told, was amazing. The boys came home with incredible artwork too. Really recommend this if you have kids that are even just a little bit interested in street art (my son is obsessed so he was in his element). We gave this class as a voucher for Christmas - I would thoroughly recommend this as an option for kids who are tricky to buy for :)
