In this hands-on Italian cooking class, you’ll learn how to create fresh pasta the old-fashioned way — just as it has been passed down through generations in Italian households, long before modern kitchen gadgets and pasta machines existed. Using simple techniques, your hands, and a whole lot of heart, you’ll experience the joy of making pasta from scratch in the most authentic way possible.
No experience? No problem at all. This workshop is designed to be warm, welcoming, and beginner-friendly, making it the perfect experience whether you’re stepping into the kitchen for the first time or simply wanting to reconnect with the beauty of traditional cooking.
Guided by Mamma Giulietta herself, you’ll work with fresh, quality ingredients and authentic family recipes that have been lovingly shared across generations. More than just a cooking class, this is an opportunity to experience true Italian culture — where food is family, conversation flows freely, and every dish is made with love.
Expect plenty of laughter, storytelling, hands-on learning, and practical skills you can confidently recreate at home for your own family and friends. By the end of the workshop, you won’t just leave with delicious handmade pasta — you’ll leave with cherished memories, new skills, and a deeper appreciation for the traditions behind Italian cooking.
Whether you're planning a team building session with work, coming solo, with friends, on a date night, or searching for a unique gift experience, this pasta workshop offers an unforgettable taste of Italy right here in Perth.
What you'll get
From the moment you arrive, you’ll be welcomed into our family home like one of our own and experience authentic Italian hospitality at its finest.
Your experience begins with a warm greeting, a freshly made coffee, and one of Mamma Giulietta’s homemade biscuits while you settle in and soak up the atmosphere. You’ll then be invited to explore Mamma’s garden, where much of the fresh produce used in the class is lovingly grown by hand — giving you a true farm-to-table Italian experience.
Throughout the workshop, you’ll enjoy a hands-on cooking experience learning traditional recipes and techniques passed down through generations. To make sure you can recreate everything at home, you’ll receive a take-home recipe guide with step-by-step instructions for all the dishes prepared during your class.
Once the cooking is complete, the best part begins — sitting down together around the table to enjoy the beautiful meal you’ve created, just as an Italian family would. You’ll leave with a full belly, new skills, and wonderful memories.

Mamma Giulietta Pasta Workshops was born in 2020 during the COVID lockdowns, but the story began long before that. As a young girl, I learned to cook beside my Mum and Nonna, where the kitchen was always full of laughter, stories, and the smell of fresh pasta. In our Italian-Australian family, food has always been our love language — the way we connect, celebrate, and care for one another.
When lockdown began, something that had always felt so normal to me suddenly became something many friends and family wanted to learn. I spent hours on the phone and FaceTime guiding people through pasta dough, sauces, and family recipes they could make at home. That became the pivotal moment for my business — realising how valuable these traditions were, and how little of it had ever been written down.
My Nonna taught me to cook by feel and taste. You measure with your heart, not the scales. I wanted to preserve those lessons from the generations before me and share them with the next.
I love teaching because it’s about more than recipes — it’s about confidence, connection, and creating memories. Something special about my workshops is that every class carries the warmth, stories, and traditions of my family kitchen into yours.
