  • 5/5 from Ian Ferguson, attended May 2026: The street food japanese class consisted on 12 attendees and we all had a fun time learning how to prepare four japanese street food dishes including tofu, sushi with salmon in tofu bags, enoki mushrooms in thin beef slices and onaomlette. Our chef and staff were generous with their time and knowledge throughout the almost 3 hours. We all felt satified with our knowledge and skills to be able to prepare and cook these dishes. I would happily book another class in the future.
  • 5/5 from Maisy Thompson, attended Mar 2026: Such a fun class! Highly recommend
  • 5/5 from Olivia Hines, attended Dec 2025: Great night at Otao kitchen with Anan the chef - he was so happy and encouraging.
  • 5/5 from Nimrit Kakkar, attended Dec 2025: Incredible class. Anan was an amazing teacher and made the experience enjoyable and fun. The food we made was also delicious. Highly recommend and would go back to do another.
  • 5/5 from Adele van Orsouw, attended Aug 2025: My partner and I recently did Otao Kitchen’s Asian Street Food Cooking Class and absolutely loved it! The class was focused on Japanese dishes - we made rice pockets with salmon, agedashi tofu, okonomiyaki and enoki mushrooms wrapped in beef - and every dish was absolutely worth the effort. The portion sizes were also very generous, and we came home with full bellies and lots of leftovers. Our teacher, Anan, was very knowledgeable and did a great job of explaining what we needed to do and why - even for prep that he’d already done (i.e making rice), for our future reference. We also received copies of all recipes at the end of the class, so I definitely feel that the course was worth it in terms of ensuring longevity of what we learned. Thank you so much to ClassBento and Otao Kitchen for this class. We had a wonderful experience and can’t wait to add a touch of Japanese to our future dish rotation!
  • 5/5 from Graham McKenna, attended Feb 2025: Dylan was great. Really enjoyed the evening and the food was amazing. Will book another event in the future for sure! They catered to our gluten allergy without any issue so strongly recommended for that. Thanks for a great evening!
  • 5/5 from Daria Musiienko, attended Feb 2025: Great class! Interesting choice of Vietnamese recipes and delicious food. Would highly recommend!
  • 5/5 from Andrea Rutherford, attended Aug 2024: Received this as a Christmas present and selected Japanese cuisine to learn how to cook dishes from there. A lot of the prep was pre-done which I understand needs to happen to complete the five great dishes we covered. I personally would have liked to do more of the prep work. The other cooks were great and our teacher Anan was attentive, knowledgeable and helpful. It didn't feel rushed and was a lovely way to send a Friday evening.
  • 4/5 from Alexander Thompson, attended Apr 2024: Apart from being teamed up with a control freak cook which spoilt my experience a little. The class was fantastic. Teacher showed us how to do every step very easily. Learn a lot and would recommend this class to others. Thanks
  • 5/5 from Cat Colivas, attended Nov 2023: Teachers were amazing! So helpful, funny and friendly. The venue was set up so nicely, everything was tidy and immaculate. Me and my sister learnt so many new skills, and the experience was really great! Would definitely come back again and recommend to friends and family!
  • 5/5 from Glenn Yamakawa, attended Jun 2023: We had a great time at the Vietnamese street food Asian cooking class. The equipment was great, the venue was clean and organized. The chef/teacher was very friendly and there was lots of fresh unique recipes. Would definitely recommend for those seeking a new experience.
  • 5/5 from Vesna Zammit, attended May 2023: My husband and I absolutely love this class the teacher was so wonderful showing us all the different ways of making Asian street food though I felt sorry for him because there was only one of him and there was a lot of students for him to go around and help other than that the food was absolutely great we had a wonderful time and I cannot wait until we get back to do the Vietnamese cookie class.
  • 4/5 from John Liddell, attended May 2023: My only problem was a recipe sheet would have made the experience more enjoyable. I have memory and recall issues and step by step recipe would be a valuable resource.
  • 5/5 from Rebecca Armstrong, attended Apr 2023: An amazing experience. Our teacher was funny, informative and open to any questions. The facilities are big but not huge so it's still intimate. Even of you are a party of one, you will have a great time.
