What you'll get
- One or two pieces of pottery per person, depending on the size of the creation (one kg of clay provided).
- Pieces will be glazed white inside and about halfway down. These will be food safe and dishwasher safe. Turn around is about six weeks. Delivered to the same address as the workshop was held at or another address within 20 km radius of Umina Beach.

What to bring
This is a two-hour class where we will bring all the materials and tools needed. All you need to provide is a table and chairs and anything you’d like to eat and drink.

Your teacher
My name is Andrea and I am a ceramic artist and teacher in Umina Beach on the beautiful Central Coast of NSW. I fell in love with ceramics in 2019, when I took my first classes as a hobby, which quickly became a lot more than that. In 2023, I started teaching ceramics at a local ceramic art school and have loved teaching pottery ever since. I love engaging with my students and people who just want to have their hands on the clay for a little while and enjoy doing something different from their daily lives. I am involved in an independent art gallery on the Central Coast, where I also run workshops every now and then. As a ceramic artist, I focus on unique one-off ceramics, both hand-built and wheel-thrown. Besides my small ceramic business making my own ceramics, I offer on-location clay parties, where I teach hand-building techniques, no experience needed.I greatly enjoy teaching and making. I am engaging, encouraging, and curious about people and their stories. And I really love watching the process unfold, from getting your hands on the clay for the first time to the final, often surprising creation. Let’s make some fun memories and something beautiful together!
