I wanted a pendant size bigger than the disks Sarah had on hand, so we melted down some silver and I managed to hammer out my own organic shape large enough to create the sunny scene I had in mind. If you are even remotely interested in an introduction to an art form using silver and other metals, take a class with Sarah. You will have fun and walk away with something uniquely yours.

Sarah explained everything we needed to do and encouraged us to give it all a try. While my booking was for a ring, I also got to make some earrings for myself, and when I expressed regret that I hadn't made something for a friend's 60th birthday, Sarah allowed me to make another pair to give my friend. I'm thrilled with my ring and can't wait to show it off!

I learnt lots of different techniques on ways I could design, make and personalise a bangle and a ring. Sarah is an absolutely amazing teacher and very hands on and detailed. She is incredibly warm, generous and a truly amazing artist and maker who creates a warm and fun atmosphere that I thoroughly enjoyed. I loved everything about the class, in particular the amazing array of tools. I will definitely be doing another class soon.

Sarah Munnings was working in the corporate world of finance and when she was struck down by a devastating mystery illness. Tests, more tests, and months of trips to doctors led to the diagnoses of Fibromyalgia (a chronic pain condition). This led to Sarah to rediscover her creativity as her own personal form of rehabilitation and become a self-taught jeweller who developed a table top jewellery practice in her kitchen.She now teaches others the amazing creations that can be made using copper, silver and brass. She uses traditional techniques of forging, soldering and texturing metal, and is passionate about using tools that are easily accessible so that her guests at workshops can continue their journey of discovery at home.
