  • 5/5 from Nicole Simpson, attended Sep 2026: I had a fantastic time in the class and learned a lot! Thank you, Kylie! I didn't realize that we couldn't take our projects home right away and would need to return later to collect and finish them. However, it was a great experience, and I can't wait to go back and pick up my creations! xx
  • 5/5 from Terri Hoy, attended Sep 2026: Always great classes. Lots of help if required, good instructions and happy to answer any questions. A few laughs and great snacks and drinks make this my favourite place for crafting.
  • 5/5 from Michelle Buckley, attended Jul 2026: Another fun class using resin. The instructor, Kelly (?) was excellent, and super helpful with colour and design ideas when my typically non-creative brain gave up! Easy to learn, and I'm looking forward to being amazed when I collect the final products! Plenty of drinks and snacks provided, to keep the creative juices flowing. Recommend to anyone looking for a few hours of fun
  • 5/5 from Sarah Norman, attended Jul 2026: Great class, everything was well explained before we started. Lots of help available if required. The whole set-up is well organised. There were lots of options for jewellery moulds and embellishments. Overall lots of fun, would do again
  • 5/5 from Yvette Lillleyman, attended Jun 2026: Loved the resin jewelry workshop it was such a great morning with lots of choice and support from the team at Collective. Definitely go again! The hat burning, pictures n clocks look fabulous! Thanks Evie & Keeley
  • 5/5 from Leah Chappell, attended Jun 2026: A fun, relaxing and creative way to spend a few hours. Good amount of options for personalisation with colours and mix-ins without being overwhelming. Attentive and present teacher who was there to advise, help and crack a joke. Would recommend.
  • 5/5 from Nicole Corbett, attended Apr 2026: What a wonderful set up studio space Collective Obsessions has... you could easily spend the whole day there! Rochelle and Jamie were welcoming, friendly and knowledgable with easy to follow instructions. The workshop was fun and the variety of materials on offer including: inks, glitter, pigments, flowers, petals and my own trinkets made for a creative challenge creating earrings and pendents/keyrings. I can't wait to go back to collect and see how my designs have turned out. I'm glad I have booked in to do more workshops in the future too.
  • 5/5 from Gwen Browning, attended Apr 2026: The two hours flew by. The instruction were clear and it was a lot of fun!
  • 5/5 from Anna, attended Mar 2026: Friendly staff. Fun activities with friends and family.
  • 5/5 from Veronica Howard, attended Mar 2026: Brilliant mm
  • 5/5 from Sofie Kanematsu, attended Mar 2026: The workshop was great! My friends and I really enjoyed it and there were so many beautiful materials to choose from to create our earrings. Our teacher was friendly and very helpful and gave clear instructions which were easy to follow. I did take a little too long on my first two earrings and felt rushed at the end when it was announced that we had 15 minutes left. Maybe it would help if we were given a heads up at 30 minutes left as well? Overall though a wonderful workshop!
  • 5/5 from Bianca Smith, attended Feb 2026: I had a really great time. Michelle was helpful and attentive during the session. I really enjoyed making my earrings.
  • 5/5 from Miss Amanda Nullmeyers, attended Jan 2026: Creative Obsessions is an incredible space for creativity and learning. The teacher was amazing in her simple and easy instruction of what to do, how to do it, things to be mindful of and ways to unleash your creativity while making your resin jewellery. So many options, ideas and colours. I can't believe how simple the process was and the food and drink provided was also a nice touch. I liked how relaxing the process was and I'm still amazed at how many pairs of earrings I was able to create. It has definitely inspired me to do more classes here and I'm very excited to come back and put all the fastenings on so that I can wear them out and about. Can't wait to show them off! An amazing activity ticked off my 40 Before 40 list!
  • 5/5 from Eleri Bishop, attended Jan 2026: So much fun. Loved that we were given the techniques then encouraged to explore our own creativity. Our teacher was knowledgeable, friendly and approachable. The atmosphere is welcoming and encouraging. I went with a friend but would be comfortable doing a class here on my own. I can't wait to see how my pieces turn out and we get the bonus of going back to put the jewellery together so it feels like we get double the value.
  • 5/5 from Brie Evans, attended Jan 2026: I had a great time at the resin work shop. Our teacher was friendly and easy to learn from. • 4/5 from Gerard Parkinson, attended Oct 2025: A good fun course. There were plenty of materials and a small class of 6 who all got along well. Collective Obsessions is a creative studio and community space in Balcatta, Perth, designed for people who want to try new things, make cool stuff, and surprise themselves. We're also proud 3 x Time SBA Award winners!
What started as a love of getting hands-on with creative mediums has grown into a colourful, welcoming studio offering workshops, open studio sessions, memberships and private events. We work across a range of mediums including resin, alcohol inks, water marbling, acrylic pouring, textured art and so much more.
More than anything, Collective Obsessions is about people. Our workshops are filled with first-timers, returning guests, and our beautiful creative tribe who make the studio feel like home.
If you’ve ever said “I’m not creative”, you’re exactly who we’re for.
We’re on a mission to…
Make creativity feel accessible, fun and safe.
We believe creativity isn’t about talent or experience - it’s about giving yourself permission to play.
Our mission is to create a space where people can slow down, switch off their busy brains, connect with others, and feel proud of what they make.
Whether you’re joining us for a one-off workshop or becoming part of our creative tribe, we want you to leave feeling lighter than when you arrived.
Our top tips for beginners is…
Don’t overthink it - just start.
You don’t need any experience, skills or artistic background. We’ll teach you the techniques, guide you step-by-step, and then encourage you to make it your own. The best pieces often come from experimenting, happy accidents and trusting your instincts.
There is no “right way” to create here.
You’ll leave our workshop feeling…
Proud, relaxed and slightly obsessed.
Most people walk in feeling unsure and walk out buzzing - with something beautiful in their hands and a new appreciation for their own creativity. Many leave already planning what they want to try next.
Meet the Team:
Rochelle - Owner
Raised by a creative dad and a crafty mum, Rochelle has had art running through her veins from day one. From charcoal sketches and fashion design to photography, creativity has always been her language.
These days, Rochelle pours her energy into art, nature-inspired wood pieces, flow art, and guiding others on their creative journeys. Her passion is contagious, her encouragement endless, and her favourite moment is watching someone realise, “OMG… I made that!”
Fuelled by laughter, ocean swims, studio time, and anything chocolate, Rochelle is your biggest creative cheerleader.
Meet Mean Boss – aka Jamie
Co-Founder & Artist
Affectionately known as Mean Boss (don’t be fooled - he’s a big softie), Jamie is drawn to the quirky, the unexpected, and the beautifully imperfect.
With roots in photography and a deep respect for nature and traditional craftsmanship, Jamie’s creative journey led him into timber, then expanded into charcoal, resin, acrylics, ink, graphite, and beyond. Always experimenting, always pushing boundaries, and often breaking things along the way (the okay kind).
Back in the studio, Jamie brings relaxed vibes, big ideas, and a little mischief to everything he creates.
That’s our story and we THANK you for reading and taking an interest.
