Immerse your creative kids in a world of vibrant colours and artistic expression with our after-school series of art classes in Melbourne. Join 'The Creative Club'! where we will explore a different art forms through the year. In this 8-week program, children will experience the mesmerising technique of fluid art, also known as pouring art or acrylic pouring; as well as various printing, painting, multi-media and collage techniques. This fun and accessible activity is perfect for all ages, making it an ideal experience for every kind of kid out there.
Under the guidance of experienced teacher Julie, your kids will discover the joy of creating - whether it be making fun multi-media papers and using them to create a paper picture collage, using the sun to create 'blue prints' (cyanotype), doing acrylic or watercolour paintings, or exploring the wonders of fluid art as they create their own magnificent, colourful pieces of artwork. Different styles will be explored each week. When we are painting, we will often use 30x40cm canvases, but we will also use paper depending on the technique. On week 8, participants will celebrate their creativity and enjoy a small party.
Third Term 2026:
Next term we will explore different forms of painting, and also drawing. We will spend some time exploring watercolour, inks, acrylic painting, drawing, fluid art and maybe more.
NOTE: this term we will start on Monday 13th and have a one week break in the middle of the term (Monday 10th August)
No prior experience is needed, as Julie will be there to support your kids throughout their vibrant journey of acrylic pouring. With her current Working with Children Check and NDIS screening check, you can have peace of mind knowing that your child/ren are in caring and qualified hands.
Here are a few important notes to keep in mind:
  • This is a term (8 week) program. Term 2 will go from Monday 27th April to 15th June 2026 (starting second week of term and ending a week before the end of term). There are no refunds if a child needs to miss a class.
  • Parents/carers are not required unless your child needs individualised support. If your child has special needs and / or requires support to follow instructions or engage in simple activities, it is important that a parent stays to provide this support. The teacher will need to spread her time among all participants, and paint (especially fluid paint) can be extra messy if not managed. Please let us know if you need to stay. Please note that a maximum of one adult per child or family group is allowed.
  • Sometimes your child's art will not be able to be taken home on the day. Fluid art needs to lie flat to dry. They can collect it the following week.
Join us for this engaging and transformative 'Creativity Club' in Melbourne, where your creative kids will learn new skills, express their imagination, and create beautiful artwork to cherish for years to come. Let their artistic journey begin!
