Hunter Valley Mead Tasting and Stargazing

In this unique mead tasting experience in the Hunter Valley, You will savour the wonderful flavours of our housemade mead and then immerse yourself in the beauty of stargazing. Discover the history and flavours of different types of mead and uncover the magic of the night sky with our guide. We are the only meadery in the Hunter Valley and possibly the only stargazing experience.For those unfamiliar with mead, it is similar to wine but made from fermented honey instead of grapes.The first 50 minutes or so will be guided by the mead maker as you enjoy tasting from a paddle board of our top 6 most popular mead flavours along with a grazing platter. You will have the opportunity to buy any mead if you wish.Following the mead tasting, you will spend the remaining time stargazing through the use of a telescope and be guided through any points of interest that are visible that night.Join us for this unforgettable activity and unlock a new world of flavour and beauty.Note: There are no private events, if you request a custom date and minimum numbers are met, we will open up that special slot for public bookings.If bad weather is predicted, the experience will be cancelled and you will be refunded by 3pm on the day.Minimum age 12 years old (under 18 cannot taste alcohol but can participate in using the telescope)
