Wire Armature, Foil Shaping and Clay Sculpting
You will create a wire armature, cover it with foil to create the shape of the hare, then using a two-part Apoxie Sculpt Clay, you will sculpt the head and feet.
Adding Hardened Fabric
Next step is to dip fabrics into Paverpol fabric hardener and cover your hare.
You may bring your own vibrant cotton blend stretch fabrics, or you have the option to use what we have on offer.

- Please bring any stretch fabric you may like to use on your hare and wear old clothes as it can be messy.

As a self-taught sculptor, my minimal training has been a liberation, allowing me to approach clay with refreshing freedom and no preconceived notions of its "proper" use. Beyond my studio, I am a dedicated educator, offering weekly classes and workshops in Oxley, Canberra, and serving as the Co-Ordinator for the long-running Contemporary Craft Retreat at Tuggeranong Southern Cross Club, celebrating its 15th year.
