Hi I’m Kate, a macrame artist based in Perth.My macrame journey began on the late 1970’s with my beautiful grandmothers ‘Lorna and Lila’.Armed with so much love, patience and creativity they spent hours teaching my sister and I everything crafty.In 2015 I attended a macrame workshop that seriously got my creative juices flowing.I couldn’t stop making!I attended local markets selling my new macrame pieces and within weeks I had a business up and running.As a wife and mother to three young daughters it was perfect working from home.I created a calm and creative space at home for workshops, started selling in retail stores and my little business soon became a busy full time business.Macrame is more than just an art form; it’s a practice that encourages patience and self expression. My workshops are a safe and relaxed space where creativity meets mindfulness.
