Learn to cook real Indian flavours in this relaxed, hands-on cooking class led by Rash, owner and chef of Indian Burrp. Over 2.5 hours, you’ll explore the foundations of Indian cooking—from building a proper masala base to understanding spice balance, aroma, and heat.
You’ll cook two of Indian Burrp’s most-loved dishes, such as Butter Chicken, Palak Paneer, Chicken Tikka Masala, Goan Mix Veg, or Daal Makhani, using the same techniques our kitchen relies on every day. You’ll also learn how to make soft naan or roti at home, without needing a tandoor.
This class is beginner-friendly and perfect for anyone curious about Indian cuisine. You’ll chop, stir, simmer, and taste as you cook, learning practical skills you can confidently recreate in your own kitchen.
At the end, sit down and enjoy the meal you’ve prepared. You’ll also take home your own Indian Burrp spice blend, a recipe booklet and a 10% voucher for your next visit.
Whether you’re cooking solo, with a partner, or in a group, this warm and welcoming class gives you an authentic taste of Indian cooking from a restaurant that has been part of the Bayside community for over 10 years.

Hi, I’m Rashmikant— owner and head chef at Indian Burrp in Cheltenham. I’ve been in the hospitality industry for over 20 years, and for the past 10 years I’ve had the privilege of serving the Bayside community through Indian Burrp, a restaurant known for its authentic, home-style Indian flavours.
I grew up around food, spices and family cooking traditions, and that’s where my passion started. Teaching this craft feels natural to me — I love showing people how simple, fun, and flavourful Indian cooking can be when you understand the basics.
My classes blend real restaurant techniques with easy home-style methods, so anyone can recreate Indian Burrp flavours in their own kitchen. I focus on hands-on learning, spice confidence, and building flavour the right way.
Whether you're completely new to Indian cooking or looking to deepen your skills, I’m excited to share what I’ve learned from two decades in kitchens, running restaurants, and cooking for thousands of happy customers.
