Who didn't love those glow in the dark stars we stuck on our ceilings when we were kids? Channel that love with this stargazing and astronomy tour in Adelaide with River Murray Dark Sky Tours by Juggle House Experiences. Look through a powerful telescope and discover some of the Southern hemisphere's brightest stars in this experience.

Cross the 3rd longest navigable River in the world on a ferry, before boarding a small flat bottomed boat cruising amongst incredible birdlife.  Marvel at ancient cliffs and take in the sights from amazing vantage points.   Enjoy dinner together with your tour group to learn more about the River Murray International Dark Sky Reserve.  In the astronomy and stargazing tour, you will set up shop in a private location in one of the darkest places on earth - a stargazer's dream! Here you'll learn all about the history of astronomy and how to read the night sky and its constellations.  If you're looking for a different experience in Adelaide then this is a fantastic option for you. Not only will you be able to enjoy this experience with your loved ones and create some new memories, but you'll also learn about the local history, as well as walk away with some stargazing tips you can use anytime! Please note: Weather forecasts are unreliable until the day of the tour.  Weather is vital as telescopes are affected by wind, clouds and rain. Ultimately, Mother Nature is in charge! We certainly understand this experience is a bit of gamble and requires commitment.  Once you book, you will be asked to continue with your plans to attend this tour until you are contacted on the day of your tour via SMS/ text message with confirmation or cancellation.  Your booking email will state ‘Confirmed’ meaning your seat is confirmed, however the tour departure is not confirmed until the day.

Our team holds a conference at 10am and the majority of the time we are in touch with you immediately after this decision.  However, very infrequently we are undecided, and wait until the 1pm forecasting from BOM.  By 2pm at the very latest you will be notified if the careful examination by astronomers of weather and cloud forecasts are favourable for the tour, or not. We are acutely aware most of our customers require as much notice as possible for travel plans from Adelaide or regional South Australia.  Please understand we cannot provide assurance to you in the leadup to the tour day, so contacting us to forsee Mother Nature’s plans, will not result in the certainty you seek, and we ask that you respect and trust the process.  You only need to seek out our online reviews from others to know that when the gamble pays off, it is an incredible experience!

Once a tour commences, there is no guarantee of weather interruptions. Once a tour commences you willingly participate, there is no refund or rescheduling offer. In the event of weather prohibiting your tour from proceeding, we will try to offer you an alternative tour date if possible. Otherwise, you will receive the option to convert to a gift voucher valid for 12 months after your cancelled tour or offered a refund of payment already processed.

- This tour is not a private charter.  This means you may be sharing the ride with others. Private charters are available on request, also outside the darkest moon phase event calendar dates, and the full capacity fare may be charged accordingly.
