Essential Oil Blending and Perfume Workshop

Learn how to blend essential oils in Melbourne

1.5 hours Location Collingwood Class size 12 to 40 guests   $110

Prepare your nostrils to be taken on an adventure! Whether you are a self-confessed fragrance fanatic, or are a complete novice and just love smells; it’s time to concoct the scent of your dreams and unlock creativity through smell.

In this workshop with one of Australia’s leading scent specialists, Kat Snowden, you’ll learn how to use essential oils and natural materials to create your own custom perfume, tailored to your nostrils.
You’ll learn about complementing scents, how to balance your blend, as well as the practical skills required to make perfume. With over 15 years of experience under her belt, Kat will be there to answer any questions, provide feedback, and lend a helping hand throughout the whole process.
You’ll have the opportunity to test a whole variety of combinations (as many as your heart desires), experimenting and sniffing until you find your perfect match. You’ll document these experiment recipes to take home and replicate in the future. Once you’ve found your desired smell, you’ll move onto blending it into a roll-on perfume, ready to rub all over yourself.

  • 5/5 from Anonymized Customer, attended Oct 2022: Excellent value for money and we absolutely loved Kat as our trainer So many people missed out who would love to do it next time and the people who did partake, couldn't stop raving on about how awesome it was. Such a fab idea. We will definitely do it again and a huge thanks to Kat, her knowledge and the products were all magnificent. Thanks!

  • 5/5 from Vince Tabak, attended Dec 2020: Kat was amazing. The space was perfect to facilitate the class and was super easy to find with lots of parking. It was designed for all levels of essential oil knowledge and she had a great variety of oils to experiment with. I’ve worn the blend I made every day since.
  • 5/5 from Carly Hawken, attended Dec 2020: Fantastic class and intro into perfume making. Kat was full of knowledge and super friendly. Am very happy with the perfume I took away and would love to attend more workshops in the future.
  • 5/5 from Tina Bove, attended Dec 2020: Loved the perfume workshop. Kat was very informative and so lovely. Loved my blends. Highly recommend Tina
  • 5/5 from Sharon Lakua, attended Dec 2020: This class was a birthday present for my daughter at her suggestion. Fabulous gift as it turns out! We had a tiny experience of essential oils but you don't need to as Cat gave an outline and demonstration of how to mix oils to give a pleasing outcome. We had plenty of time to experiment in the funky city fringe venue which was very adequate for the class. We had access to a vast array of oils to experiment with. It was a lot of fun. Perhaps related to exposure to the oils, and/or using under-used senses and right brain hemisphere, we were both very tired and relaxed when we went home. I'm a terrible sleeper but I slept really well that night.

It all started with an itch… and by that, we mean a physical one. Clean Slate owner, Kat Snowden, wanted a natural alternative to the cortisone cream she had been using to treat her eczema. No bells, no whistles, just natural ingredients. And she never looked back.

An expert on all things skin-related, she has single-handedly formulated and crafted a range of products that encapsulate over a decade of late nights and early mornings trialling and perfecting.

Priding herself on her ability to make beautiful, high-quality products honest and approachable, her time not working on new products is spent teaching and educating others on ingredients and processes.
