  • 5/5 from Ethan Micame, attended Aug 2026: I went to this candle making workshop for my birthday as I thought it might be interesting to try something new. During our lesson we learned some basic background knowledge on to candle making as well as some technical terminology related to candles, the olfactory regions and scents whilst we were guided on creating on our own candles. Our teacher was extremely welcoming and accommodating to everyone in the group and made a conscious effort that everyone was following along and getting involved! Our teacher did say that our particular group that was slotted in for the session was a smaller group than usual so the atmosphere was very cozy. My favourite part of the experience was the atmosphere that our teacher cultivated while we were in the lesson, it felt so natural and cozy that time just flew by while we were immersed in conversation and the candle making workshop.

It created a relaxing and welcoming atmosphere that made the whole experience even more enjoyable. It was also a great opportunity to socialise and meet new people. As someone who loves candles, this was my first time attending a candle making workshop and I learned a lot throughout the session. The social bingo activity was also a fantastic touch. It helped break the ice and kept everyone engaged while we waited for our candles to set. • 5/5 from Rena M, attended Feb 2026: Such an interesting class. I learned so much — not just the ‘how‑to’ of candle‑making, but also the nature and behaviour of the materials we worked with. I never knew scents had a wheel similar to the colour wheel, and it really opened my eyes to how fragrances blend. What I enjoyed most was being able to go through the entire process from start to finish, including choosing our own scents. It made the experience feel personal and genuinely hands‑on.
  • 5/5 from Zen Anasarias, attended Feb 2026: It was an an amazing experience. The teacher goes beyond the basics, sharing professional advice on ingredient sourcing, materials, and troubleshooting common mistakes. I love the soy wax because it’s popular for being natural, renewable, and eco-friendly. It has a lower melting point, which means it burns longer and for the scent I’ve used a combination of Bergamot and Lemon and it smells so refreshing.

Hi! I am Donna, a chandler and the founder of Blissful Sundays.
Sunday is that one day when we get to slow down, enjoy meals and conversations with loved ones and be truly present. It was one of those lovely Sunday afternoons that birthed our business in Sydney, Spring of 2018.
I started making candles from our home kitchen to gift to family and friends. My passion for creating eco-friendly and premium scented candles – and sharing them with more people – has grown each day. Together with my husband, Orlando, we expanded our reach through our online store, weekend markets and partner stockists.
Having been raised by two school teachers, teaching is in my DNA. Delivering technical training courses was a big part of my professional career too. Offering workshops and classes to share how to make the products that give me so much joy is I guess a natural progression.
I am so excited to share the bliss that comes with creating handmade products which bring wonderful memories to life, spark joy in the ordinary and find gratitude in daily life.
