What you'll do

Join Tatiana’s Fashion Studio's eco-printing workshop and learn new tricks from an industry professional.Eco-printing is a sustainable technique of dying natural fabrics, by extracting pigments directly from plants. The leaves and flowers are carefully selected for their eco-printing characteristics, such as interesting shapes, vibrant colours or levels of tannins present. The imprints are created by combining plants with heat, pressure, minerals and time, locking the unique composition permanently into the fabric. This workshop will teach you how to capitalize on the flexibility of eco-printing for your own DIY home décor. You'll learn which plants you can use to "paint" your own textile art to create unique patterns that will breathe new life into any room! This fun workshop will suit all levels from beginners to creatives who are enthusiastic about exploring this intriguing knowledge of printing with botanicals on natural textiles to uplift their home decor with eco-printed pieces of art.Tatiana is passionate about sustainable living and will inspire you to see Australian nature in a whole light!Please note: This class will run with a minimum of two students. In the unlikely event that minimum numbers are not met, Tatiana will contact you to discuss rescheduling your workshop or a refund. Hi, I’m Tatiana — a designer, textile artist, and nature lover who finds joy in turning botanicals into wearable art.With over 30 years in fashion and 15 years running my studio in Perth, I’ve worked closely with Australian designers as well as private clients, creating couture pieces and bespoke wedding gowns.In recent years, I’ve been drawn to a slower, more mindful way of creating — and eco-printing became a natural extension of that journey.In my workshops, I share not only techniques but also the way I see the world — helping you slow down, trust the process, and discover beauty in nature’s unexpected results.My workshops are intentionally small to ensure every participant receives personal attention and a meaningful creative experience.
