In this hands-on session, you’ll learn the art of needle felting, a relaxing and surprisingly satisfying craft that uses barbed needles to sculpt raw wool into solid, three-dimensional forms. Guided by experienced maker Liana Kappelle, you’ll discover how to shape, layer, and blend wool to bring festive characters and ornaments to life; think snowmen, stars, candy canes, or tiny reindeer (and maybe a wonky Santa or two).
No prior experience is needed! This is a fun, beginner-friendly class perfect for anyone who loves handmade holiday decorations or simply wants to slow down with a tactile, meditative craft. You’ll walk away with a handful of custom felted decorations, plus the skills (and confidence) to keep making more at home.
Please note: This class requires at least 5 students to run. In the unlikely event that we don't get this number of students, we'll cancel the class and fully refund you and inform you via email, so please watch your email a few days prior to the class.

Liana Kappelle is a Melbourne-based multidisciplinary artist and workshop facilitator with a background in printmaking, watercolour, tarot, and mixed-media storytelling. She brings a love of symbolism, play, and process into her classes, creating supportive spaces where creativity feels both accessible and inspiring. With years of experience teaching at Work-Shop Melbourne and beyond, Liana’s workshops are designed to be hands-on, practical, and a little bit magical.
