Q: What should I wear?
Simply wear something comfortable! We provide aprons to help protect your clothes but you don't want to risk your favourite outfit. Long, dangling sleeves are in the most danger, so we recommend sleeves that are short or can be rolled up. This is a functional commercial kitchen, so we will require you wearing closed shoes during classes. To be honest, if you were wearing flip flops and happened to get buttercream on your feet, we don't even know how to deal with that situation! lol
Q: When do I need to arrive to the class?
To ensure our classes run smoothly and on time, please arrive 5 - 10 mins prior to the start of the class. We understand that life sometimes gets in the way, that's okay - let us know if you are running late, our teachers will do their best to help you but cannot guarantee they will have time to explain everything again, keep in mind that the more you miss, the harder it will be to catch up.
Q: Do you cater for allergies or dietary restrictions?
We are happy to assist with your dietary requirements, please have a chat to us before booking.
Q: Can I stay with my child during the class?
Parents can attend the first 5 mins of the class (introduction and setup) but will be asked to leave the classroom so the children are comfortable to freely express their inner cake artists :) You are welcome to chill over cakes and coffee in our little shop in front for the duration of the class (or enjoy your 2 hours of freedom any other way).

What you'll do
In this hands-on adventure, your little Masterchef will learn to decorate cakes or cupcakes, work with buttercream, with fondant and a variety of (safe) tools and equipment + have fun while doing it. We’ll guide them step-by-step, so they come home with a cake that looks as good as it tastes. Oh, and did we mention? There are a few sweet surprises along the way… but you’ll have to join us to find out!(Our instructors possess WWCC and first-aid training.)

Hello my name is Chin and I am originally from a tiny island called Mauritius (which you would hear in my accent). My sis-in-law and I started our cake business when we were still uni students, we registered our small apartment kitchen with the council and what started as a small gig to help us pay the bills and eat something tastier than Mee Goreng, now has become our happy place! We made so many mistakes – bad tools, bad techniques, bad cakes (we don’t talk about those). Ten years later, we’ve baked for big brands, won awards, and opened our own cake shop in Lynbrook, which is a real pinch-me moment. Since 2024 we opened our commercial kitchen to Cake Workshops and now, our workshops are all about having a laugh, making a mess, and creating something sweet you can be proud of. You'll learn heaps along the way and make real connections with fun people who also love cake!
