Clay Carving Workshop

“Shape it, carve it, let the dark clay come alive in this Pottery Class

3 hours Class size 2 to 30 guests

$149 (Afterpay & PayPal Pay in 4 available)

In this three-hour pottery workshop in Fremantle, you’ll work with our beautiful dark textured stoneware to create your own handmade pieces — mugs, vases, dipping bowls, planters, or whatever form calls to you. You’ll shape, refine, and carve your surface designs, exploring marks and textures that reveal themselves beautifully in this moody clay body. Once your pieces are complete, we’ll glaze and fire them in a white gloss finish that enhances every carved detail, returning your work transformed and ready to use. Please allow 6-8 weeks for your pieces to be ready. We will be in touch with pick-up dates.
Please note we do not use coloured underglaze in this ceramic class for aesthetic and technical reasons.
There is ample free parking for you!
What you'll get
All tools and materials are provided, including carving tools and beautiful dark textured stoneware to work with. Aprons are available in the studio, but you’re welcome to bring your own if you prefer. Feel free to BYO snacks and drinks—settle in, get comfortable, and enjoy three hours of relaxed making.

With over 30 years of pottery experience, a formal education in Art & Design, and a major in Studio Ceramics, I’ve traversed many creative paths, but clay has always been my true passion. My journey has included hunting, digging, studying, and mastering new skills, with pottery teaching me the virtues of patience and the beauty of imperfection.
From my studio in Fremantle, Western Australia, I create unique pieces that embody emotional authenticity, prioritizing essential beauty over conventional perfection. I am deeply passionate about sharing my love of making through teaching. I aim to provide an authentic experience where students feel comfortable exploring their own creativity. My workshops and private classes cater to all skill levels, inviting you to discover and express yourself in the captivating world of pottery.
