What happens when candle making meets resin art?
You get one of our favourite creative mash-ups.
Our Resin Candle experience combines soy candle making and epoxy resin art in one hands-on workshop, giving you the chance to explore two completely different creative processes and bring them together in one seriously gorgeous finished piece.
You'll create the candle.
You'll create the art.
And yes, you'll probably spend quite a while deciding which fragrance to use.
Welcome to Resin Candle Making at iCreated Studio Clarkson.
e begin with candle making.
Explore our rotating collection of 36 carefully curated fragrances and choose the scent that will make your candle completely yours.
Fresh and coastal?
Warm and woody?
Sweet, floral, fruity or something completely unexpected?
We'll introduce you to the fundamentals of soy candle making and guide you through preparing, fragrancing and pouring your own container candle.
You'll learn about:
️ Soy wax and candle-making basics
️ Choosing and using fragrance
️ Fragrance ratios and scent load
️ Preparing your candle vessel
️ Achieving a beautiful pour
️ Curing and caring for your finished candle
Once your candle is poured and settling, we'll swap wax for something completely different.
Now it's time to create the artwork that makes this candle anything but ordinary.
We'll introduce you to epoxy resin and the techniques used to create your own ocean-inspired resin artwork on the timber lid of your candle vessel.
You'll work with colour, resin and those wonderfully unpredictable waves to create your own miniature ocean scene.
We'll guide you through:
Working safely with epoxy resin
Mixing and colouring resin
Layering your ocean colours
Creating depth and movement
Creating beautiful foamy wave effects
Using heat to manipulate your resin
No two resin pieces ever turn out exactly the same.
That's exactly how we like it.
By the end of the experience, you've combined fragrance, candle making and resin art to create something that's completely your own.
