The teacher was lovely, funny, informative and helpful with any questions or mistakes we made along the way. Class was small and intimate, so no one ever felt left out or left behind. Snacks and drinks were a surprise bonus and the only downside to the evening was when it was time to go home. We will definitely be back for another class

Informative and explained everything in a way that was easy to understand, whether you've done something creative before or are a complete beginner. The class was relaxed, fun with plenty of guidance and encouragement along the way. Learning different burning techniques, design tips, and how to personalise hats while still having the freedom to be creative and make it my own. The atmosphere was welcoming and light-hearted, making it a great way to spend a couple hours. Left with not only a beautiful custom hat but also a new skill and lots of inspiration for future projects. If you're looking for something different, creative, and enjoyable, I highly recommend giving this class a go. You'll have fun, learn something new, and walk away with a unique piece that's completely your own!

There was plenty of guidance from our illustrious leader Jamie who showed us techniques with using the burner tools and then we had plenty of time to practice too. I was so happy with my drawing of the Eiffel Tower, and wordings which were all freehand as I have only recently started to be able to loosen up and actually draw, which is amazing for me- at 55 this is quite a feat!!! Creative Obsessions is a fantastic place to let your creative juices flow, there is such a wide range of different activities to try and the team are just so supportive and champion you to be the best creator you can be. I have my board displayed in a prime spot at home I love it that much! Thanks again to the team at CO for giving me the opportunity to try something new and the confidence to push myself creatively!

Prior to the workshop we were unsure if design patterns were provided or if we were burning free handed. I can confirm there are plenty of designs available that can be transferred to the board with transfer paper and a pen. They also kindly printed a personalised design for us to use. Thanks for having us, we will be back to visit the studio in the future.

Instructors were very approachable and helpful. The instruments - burners and glue guns easy to use and well explained. Nibblies and drink fridge stocked with lots of goodies … a little gift bag as well as it was a Mother’s Day special - l’m excited to wear my hat out and about, l feel a bit of line dancing coming on.

The instructor was thorough in his introductory explanation and available to help if needed. As usual the experience was amazing. I could easily become addicted to this craft. I was surprised that I actually completed my design in the allotted time and very pleased with the result. I’ll be back.

Everyone did suprisingly well considering many first attempts. I certainly suprised myself. I took a photo that I had taken of a Panda and burnt the image onto the wood of a cheese board. Also did a small key ring with a skull image. Board and key ring provided. Would highly recommend as quite absorbing.

Wood burning is fairly easy, and very satisfying. It’s also great that you can bring your own images. There’s a reason I’m a returning customer - best art class studio in Perth!

Jamie did a wonderful job providing instructions, numerous (pictures) to transfer & encouragement. We had trial piece of wood to transfer a design initially before starting our main wooden piece & finishing with a key ring. I have really enjoyed a couple of Resin classes and thought it was nice to chose something different this time : highly reccomend this class thanks for the drinks & snacks as always

There were plenty of designs available to choose from, but you could also bring your own model if you wanted something more personal. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, and everything was well explained. I left with a keychain and a wooden board that I made myself, and I’m so happy with how they turned out. I would absolutely recommend this activity to anyone looking for a unique and enjoyable creative experience!

Rochelle was fantastic and ran us through the process with some great tips before we launched into it and she kept an eye on us with more tips and tricks throughout the class. We had such a great bunch of people with us and yummy refreshments provided, this just made the day perfect. Instructions were well presented and it was very well set out and organised. Instructor guided were needed but gave us all positive feedback!!! Would highly recommend.
