In this live online class, you will be guided through the basic steps of cooking two jars of this fermented vegetable by friendly expert Veet herself! You'll learn easy recipes to cook with sauerkraut and even get some of Veet's best tips on how to make it in bulk so you can keep it in your fridge for later.

If you're looking for things to do at home during the weekend, why not get creative and cook something new from scratch. There's nothing better than homemade sauerkraut - it'll be the best you'll ever taste!

What to bring
  • A large green cabbage (red if you can't get a green cabbage)
  • Two jars (one litre or 750 mL)
  • A small jar that fits inside the litre jar (optional)
  • Salt (one to four teaspoons)
  • One to two teaspoons of caraway seeds (optional)
  • A mixing bowl
Suitable for

Suitable for adults, and kids (minimum 12 years old).

An adult must accompany any attending kids. The adult may observe at the class for free.

Hi, I am Veet of Veet's Vegan Cooking School. I am a nutritionist and a vegan cooking facilitator. I have been vegan since 2015 and vegetarian for 29 years prior to that. My passion is helping people learn how easy, healthy and delicious it is to eat vegan food. As well as individual private classes I also run a three-day vegan cooking course and full vegan chef training.

Before opening the cooking school in 2015 I ran a very successful vegan catering business for over 10 years and was a primary school teacher for some time too. I love facilitating as much as I love cooking. It is a match made in heaven!
