Already made something at one of our Clay & Sip or wheel sessions? You can return to glaze it!
The first firing is done after your clay and sip session. During this painting session, we’ll apply a clear glaze after your work is painted and ready it for a second firing. Glazing + second firing for handmade pieces is $20 per item. Firing takes 1–2 weeks, and then your beautiful piece is ready to take home!

Note: Your asked to click the box on check out that you understand there is additional cost to the class cost for the ceramic pieces to purchase and paint that includes the glaze firing. We use a special clay for our kiln firing temperatures for the glaze, so you can not bring your own biskware pieces to paint. The pieces to paint also includes the under glaze paint and glaze depending on the size of the piece to paint.

Let us know if you're coming to celebrate a birthday, with the tick box on checkout. We have Complimentary Birthday Gift bags for you then. Does not matter if you're on your own or with plus others. Every Birthday outing gets a special magical gift.
For larger groups of 7 plus we also have the Birthday cake at no cost, or for smaller groups under 7 people this is $50 which includes plates, napkins etc
Book in a public session for any size group does not matter if you have 20 people. On busy nights we split sessions into multiple rooms so at times you may have your own room or just sharing with 1 or 2 other groups.
The studio is still byo drinks and food. We have platters available for advance ordering if that makes it easier. We only provide plates and napkins for our platters, otherwise it is also byo plates, cutlery, and glassware. We have paper cups available in every session.
We have now added book a group of 7 plus at alternative times during the week days. It is a shared space, however the earlier week day starts would mean you have the entire studio to yourself until the later classes start. This is under the booking option, book private event, however, note this is still for a shared studio space at $19pp, as private rooms start at $49pp for 16 plus people, Plus piece to paint. Your also welcome to add the Free birthday cake, just let us know if the event is other such as, team bonding, Hens party, social outing, so we can advise teacher.

What you'll get
This session includes the ceramic glazes and paints, but not the ceramics to be painted. You will have to purchase these for an additional price on the day. Please see above description for pricing.
If you've previously made any pottery pieces at another Wesley Taylor class and want to bring them in to paint and glaze, we can fire them for you for $20 per piece.

  • Bring an apron, as these are not provided due to covid procedures.
  • Bring a bottle of your favourite beverage. We have plastic cups, however, any glassware or cutlery is also BYO.

Would have been great to have slightly better quality paintbrushes but everything that we needed was there. Very calm and chill environment that didn't feel crowded. All paints, clay and canvases are supplied, meaning you don’t have to spend hundreds to create something beautiful. Whether your bringing your own vision to life or following along a guided session these classes let your creativity flow. Booking was easy, gift cards are easy. Location is accessible but we did wander around the different spaces a bit trying to find the right studio. Teacher was friendly and answered questions so beginners could understand and let us get on with it once we knew what we were doing. Didn’t rush us either. Highly recommend. Enjoy your creativity!!

I'm a Brisbane-based artist, and I've been painting and drawing since my early childhood days. I was fortunate to receive a scholarship from the Queensland Art Gallery, which gave me ample opportunity to pursue my passion and hone my skills.
I'm very much inspired by the beauty and diversity of Australia. Many of my paintings focus on landscapes, surrealism, animals, and people. North Queensland is a particular favorite, and you'll see the influence of coral seas and mountain landscapes throughout my artwork. I have a post-impressionist style through which I try to capture the wonder of the world around us.
I specialize in pastel on card and acrylic on canvas, though I'm also experimenting with abstract and airbrush.
I've been fortunate enough to display my work in many art exhibitions and have been the recipient of many prizes and awards.
I offer Paint and Sip sessions along with Clay and Sip sessions, both at discounted rates for ClassBento Patrons. The Wesley Taylor Art Studios Mission initially set out to create workshops at half the cost of other workshops for customers to be able to enjoy the experience of creating a piece of artwork. This endeavor was to create the foundation of employing artists with a like-minded sense of assisting customers to enjoy this time out while creating new art experiences. The goals of value for money for customers and employment for artists to run these fun activities that may mark a milestone, a birthday, a hen's party, a social activity, a first date, or company team-building events to build and strengthen relationships with a common bond of creating something new.
