Whether you’re completely new to soap making or returning to try a new recipe, our workshops are designed to be creative, informative and deeply satisfying.
Each workshop in our collection explores a different style of soap, offering unique ingredients, colours, textures and techniques.

Knowledge required
This workshop is suitable for absolute beginners with no prior experience necessary. Because of the use of Lye, we do not recommend this class for children under the age of 16 years.
What to bring
You will be taking your soap home with you, it is a good idea to bring a towel to wrap it in and a bag or box to carry it home - you'll need to keep your loaf snug and warm for 24 hours!
Safety note: Lye is an incredibly strong chemical that requires extreme caution. Because of this, we recommend wearing a long-sleeved shirt, pants and enclosed shoes. Please don't worry we will teach you how to handle it safely so you won't have any issues.

Creating balance with creativity & connection

Made by Me Workshop is about helping people to connect with their "inner creative" and have some fun while making beautiful things from quality materials in our friendly & vibrant studio space in the heart of the inner west!
Established in 2017 after Rebecca Doyle decided to take a career break and chose to revisit her childhood love for arts & crafts. Rebecca grew up in a large family where money was tight, after school activities where mostly homegrown and usually involved a sheet of cardboard, a glue stick and some glitter! It is probably no surprise to learn that Rebecca followed a creative path to study Fashion & Textile Design at University!
After a few more decades (than Rebecca will publicly admit to) and a long and varied career in the fashion industry, Rebecca wanted to get back to creating beautiful, one-of-a-kind objects - Made By Me Workshop is the result of where this path led.
Rebecca loves that moment of pride that comes over each participant's face when they look at what they have created and say to themselves "Wow - I made this & I love it!"
Made by Me Workshop run a variety of creative workshops, hen’s parties, private parties and corporate events from their warehouse space in St Peters including Resin Art, Resin Jewellery & Mould Making, Soap Making, Terrazzo Homewares, Punch Needle, Macrame and many more.
