Description

Learn how to make Kokedamas. Originating in Japan, Kokedamas are those wonderful, hanging string and moss gardens that you can make easily, once you know how! You will come away with 2 stunning Kokedamas.

You will definitely get your hands dirty and learn all about the sorts of plants that are suitable to 'kokadama' and how to create the appropriate soil mix. String up some sturdy succulents and take them home.

Kokedamas are perfect for small garden spaces and apartments and are very portable (no heavy pots!)

And they make superb gifts that will delight everyone . We will have a mixture of plants for you to work on and will show you how to care for them.

I have had the best life ever, following my passions. I have worked as a script editor and writer and been a course leader and senior lecturer in the UK in film and TV and before that I was an illustrator and artist.

For the last 5 years have become increasingly interested in informal learning. I run classes around Sydney in different venues and concentrate on my passion of growing succulents, art and the art of teaching. I go by the name classbunny.

Pamela was passionate and well paced in her delivery of instructions.
She was fantastically patient with my detailed approach and made the whole experience an enjoyable one.

I would recommend a class with Pamela any time, and enjoyed my introduction to Kokedama thoroughly.

Great venue. Friendly teacher who helped my husband and I learn not only how to make a Kokedama but also shared a bit of its history and showed us how to make a basic macrame hanger. A lovely relaxed workshop that I would definitely recommend!
