Learn some delicious new lunch box recipes with French Michelin Star chef Francois Morabito.

Preparing a tasty and healthy lunch box is not always easy to make, and it’s important to keep offering healthy lunch box choices in a variety of ways, for adults and children for them not to only eat food that is familiar to them.

During this intimate and relaxing lesson, your teacher Francois will share with you his tips and ideas to prepare a lunch box for your entire family in a minimum amount of time.

This class will focus on delicious cold lunch box including:

Avocado, corn and red cabbage wrap (including making the dough for the wrap)
Focaccia stuffed with sardines, cherry tomatoes and rocket (including the focaccia bread technique)
Authentic spring rolls (Shark Bay prawns, vegetables)
Quiche Loraine, traditional French tart with bacon and Comte cheese
Tartine/Bruschetta feta, green pea and mint
Creative salad (black barley, cauliflower tabouleh, baby spinach, pomegranate)

Each recipe and technique will offer an unlimited number of possibilities to arrange a lunch box with your own twist and taste. You will delight all your family members, no matter their taste and will you can encourage your children to help choose and prepare their own lunch!

Each class at Francois’ Private Kitchen is a new experience filled with delicious food and lots of fun, laughter and learning. Classes are intimate, friendly and limited to seven students so that everyone has ample space to work in a relaxed and comfortable environment to inspire you to prepare these dishes at home.

Please note: Francois can welcome you in his Balcatta kitchen or for an even more personal experience, if you organise a group of five or more friends, family or colleagues, he can come to your own kitchen at a day and time which suits you best.

Francois is a French chef with over 30 years of experience, who settled down in Perth in 2013. At 15, he started studying at a hospitality school in Alsace, the French region he was born in. He went to study at the most prestigious Chef School, l’Ecole Superieure de Cuisine Francaise in Paris.

He then worked for several Michelin star restaurants in Paris and then returned to his hometown to open his first bistro restaurant in 1997 in Strasbourg. A few years later, he opened a catering business and then a second fine-dining restaurant, L’Atelier du Gout (Workshop Taste).

When he arrived in Perth, he began working as a Head Chef for Alain Fabregues, the well-known owner of the Mundaring Loosebox restaurant. He launched his company My French Voyage in 2018 to offer intimate gourmet tours in the regional towns of France and make customers discover the real France. Then, he shared his love for delicious food with customers of his cooking class and private catering events.

He has extensively travelled over the years, which has helped him appreciate the different cultures and types of cuisines. Therefore, even though he specialises in modern French cuisine, he is knowledgeable in Italian, Spanish, and various types of Asian food.

His goal is for guests to have a unique experience which surpasses their expectations and fulfil their desires.
