What you'll do
Looking for relaxing things to do in Newcastle? Create your very own elephant artwork using a selection of Staedler Lumograph graphite and black pencils with the help of wildlife artist Sarah Johnson.
Learn different shading and blending techniques to create texture, tone and realism in this elephant drawing. This interactive class with step-by-step instructions will allow you to walk away with your very own finished masterpiece.
You'll also learn new techniques of how to work with different degrees of graphite and black pencils to equip and inspire you for future creative projects.
All Staedler Lumograph pencils, blending tools and other materials used in the workshop will be provided.

Meet the artist:
Sarah Johnson is a young local artist from the Northern Beaches, Sydney. After receiving her Bachelor of Fine Art at National Art School in 2011, Sarah has exhibited in a number of exhibitions and sold numerous commissioned artworks for clients in Australia and internationally.
Her passion for drawing combined with her love of teaching inspired her to launch Make Your Mark 6 years ago. Make Your Mark Art studio is located in Brookvale and welcomes over 200 students of all ages every week to drawing classes. With 10 years tutoring experience Sarah has learnt a lot about understanding how to make classes fun and interactive for students.
