What you'll do
You'll love creating your own little tealight candle holders/sconces. No previous experience necessary!
These fun tealight candle sconces are absolutely a blast to make and easy to do too. You can make as many of them as you like in the two hour time-frame.Â
You can come back and do this workshop as many times as you like, this is what we discovered in 2022 that people wanted to do for their gift-giving. You don't need to be "creative" to make these tealight candle sconces. Come along and have some fun!
During the workshop you will learn:
- The basic and correct skills required to use glass as an artistic medium
- Fundamentals of glass cutting
- A brief introduction on how glass performs in the kiln: you’ll be introduced to the endless potential of glass fusing and slumping. Warning! You may be addicted!
You’ll be surprised at how clever you are at making something wonderful. No previous experience required for this class.
If you’d like to bring refreshments, alcohol or nibbles to this workshop, that’ll be fine, assuming you are over 18 years of age. Maybe you are celebrating with friends and bringing them to this workshop as part of their birthday - get in touch and we'll make sure I have sparklers on hand!
Once the class is over and the clean up is done, all you need to do is wait for an email from us showing the progress of your candle sconces and we’ll let you know when they are ready to be picked up, usually between 10-14 days after your workshop.
Your masterpieces will only be kept here at my Richmond studio for a month or two after your agreed collection date and after then, they'll be donated to charity.
We look forward to seeing you soon and introducing this amazing art to you.
Please note:
- You’ll be photographed during this workshop, please let me know if you don’t want this to happen.
- You need to be able to climb one flight of stairs to our studio. It isn't accessible by wheelchair.
- If you have been unwell contact us and we’ll reschedule your class. Of course, there’s zero cost for rescheduling.
Private classes:
We run loads of private workshops. Don’t be shy, bring your family and friends and have the studio to yourselves! It’ll be so much fun. Its a great catch up venue for you all and a fabulous way to create memories together.
If you don’t see a time and date that suits you here please contact us and we will add a new date that suits you. We are always happy to add other dates or create a private workshop for you and your friends, if that suits you better. There is space here for a larger group of people to come to this workshop.

Jenie Yolland's glass studio is a safe and creative place where you can learn about glass art. You don't need any expertise. Our classes are designed for the absolute beginner. You'll love being here. Its relaxing and fun being in this amazing space.
You can create all sorts of things in my studio, from bespoke handmade glass plates, to giant Mondrian wall clocks, or abstract wall art!
We run workshops for all ages. Come with your family and friends and create memories together.
