If you still want to attend this class, please first consider government restrictions in VIC. If you are currently allowed to attend, but are later prevented from doing so, we will either postpone your booking, or refund you. You are always welcome to gift this class.

Learn how to hand build your own ceramic wares, get your hands dirty and walk away with the satisfaction that you’ve created something you can use every day!

Learn the basics of hand building with clay; pinching, slab, coiling and joining to create a whole range of pieces from cups and bowls to ring holders and spoons… the possibilities are endless!

Your pieces will be high fired and a choice of Daisy’s coloured glazes will be available to adorn your creations for their final firing.

This class is suitable for beginners or those wishing to play further with clay without a long-term commitment to a course.

Please note: This class requires at least eight students to run. In the unlikely event that we don't get this number of students, we'll cancel the class and fully refund you and inform you via email, so please watch your email a few days prior to the class

Aside from this class, Work-Shop also has the following coming up:

What you'll get
  • Stoneware Clay to create 3-4 smaller pieces or 2 larger creations!
  • Tools and textural material to play with.
  • Underglazes to decorate with.
  • Coloured or transparent glaze for glaze firing
  • Firing service

Note – All clay pieces will be glazed and fired following the workshop. You will be able to pick up your pieces from Work-shop approximately 2-4 weeks later or we can have them delivered to you for an additional fee. Students will be able to choose their preferred option on the day.

Having studied fine art in Scotland, Daisy moved to London to pursue a career in the arts. After working for arts charities and organizations she went travelling and fell in love with ceramics. On returning she took a course in ceramics and from there has built up her practice and business.

Recently moving to Melbourne, her practice is very evolving and growing from new experiences and environments around her. The landscapes and natural environments around her influence her work every day, drawing textural and colour inspiration for each collection.

Her work is stocked in independent shops across Australia and the UK, as well as being featured in publications and used by food stylists across the world.

Daisy was very friendly. She demonstrated the techniques well and gave everyone equal amounts of attention. Materials were good, clay was very soft, and I thoroughly enjoyed painting with the slip colours and patterns. Social distancing between the seats was a plus. Would highly recommend the class.

Daisy was a lovely teacher who explained the various techniques clearly and easily. She was very friendly and made everyone feel comfortable asking for help. I'm very excited to get my mug and planter back once they are fired and glazed :)

Really good teacher with simple and clear direction. Super helpful and encouraging right throughout the class.
They've clearly got the class down to a fine art with the perfect amount of time, people, and materials.
And the cherry on top is a beautiful friendly dog to make arriving into a room full of strangers an absolute joy instead of awkward and scary.

Had a really good time in this class, Daisy is a fantastic teacher and was very good at offering advice and helping resolve my many mishaps. The only thing I wish was there was more paint so that I didn't have to wait for the rest of the class to use it before I could and thus not get a chance to do what I wanted.

Had a great time at this workshop run by Daisy. Really fun and friendly class, great social atmosphere + creative environment.

Daisy was an awesome teacher, she did a really good job of explaining all the methods given the time as well as giving lots of 1 on 1 assistance and help.

I made 3 pieces, looking forward to seeing how they turn out.

Would definitely recommend this class.

Class and Daisey were fantastic.
Felt too rushed at the end. Needed more paint so that you weren’t waiting for it leaving you with less time. Also needs different size paint brushes.
