The Hunter Valley has some of Australia's best wine, food, cheese, chocolate, beers and spirits and we’ll try them all on this exciting day tour around this stunning region! If you're looking for relaxing things to do in the Hunter Valley, this is perfect for you.Your guide will pick you and your group up from your select hotel (which you can specify when booking) in a fully air-conditioned bus, ready to explore the Hunter Valley. We’ll pay a visit to three beautiful wineries and a local distillery, where you’ll be given a guided tour by a local expert at each stop - and we’ll even give you a sneak peek behind the scenes at selected locations. You’ll complete your wine tasting experience with complimentary chocolates and delectable local cheeses, so you can sample the unique flavours of Australia’s first wine region. As well as spending time wine tasting and enjoying delicious handcrafted produce, you’ll also be able to enjoy a relaxed pizza lunch with a local wine while overlooking the breathtaking scenery of the Valley.Departure information:
If you are staying in Lovedale, Pokolbin or Rothbury we can most likely pick you up, but please advise us when booking via the booking question.
Pick up will be between approximately 9.30 am and 10.15 am.
You will be dropped off at your pick up location at approximately 4:30 pm.
If you have dietary requirements ie. lactose intolerant, vegetarian, gluten-free, allergic to nuts or shellfish etc., we will advise the restaurant and they will cater to your specific requirements. Please let us know when booking.
A vegan lunch can be ordered, but the chocolate, cheese and most wine is not vegan. Those on a strict vegan diet cannot be catered for on our regular public tour.
With more than 150 wonderful wineries in the Hunter Valley, we like to rotate the wineries that we visit. So if you are taking our tour for a second or third time there's a good chance you'll visit completely different cellar doors. However, please get in contact with us if you'd like to know which ones we are visiting on the day of your tour.
We are not weather dependent for our tours and therefore will always operate. You are mainly indoors in the warmth and comfort of a winery in the cooler months. In the warmer months, you may have the opportunity to have your wine tasting provided outdoors in the fresh air.
Please note: For larger groups of 12 to 20 people or a private tour, a $625 charter fee will be charged. For any groups larger than 20, please contact us for charter fee prices.

5/5 from Alison Rollings, attended Jun 2023: Fantastic day out, Erin, our driver made the day extra fun with her interaction with the group. 100% recommend using Dave’s tours for your Hunter Valley wine tour experience.
5/5 from Rosemarie Maiva, attended Apr 2022: Thank you so much for a great tour. We had the best tour guide. Big thanks to you Todd.
“At Dave’s, we’re all about showing you local as we love it all; food, drinks, history, and culture. Come explore with us on tour!”Our philosophy is simple – collaboration. We love bringing people together to taste and experience the craftsmanship of our local producers.Whether that is on a behind the scenes brewery tour, a walk back in time through our pub culture on a pub walk, or a corporate event – everything we do is about connecting more people to local communities. In doing so, we are supporting the passions and dreams of those who are bringing to market some of the finest products available and making visitors aware of the toil and strife that goes into producing great drinks and food.To us, it’s more than the art and science. It’s the stories, the legends, the scars of effort and devotion to doing something different. It’s about connecting people who are passionate about what they produce with those who are equally as passionate about what they consume.
