Imprint Corner aims is to promote knowledge exchange, in a fun interactive environment. When it comes to slow living and slow food, Susan Sinclair is a strong advocate. Susan is passionate about fermented foods and natural plant based dyeing techniques. She loves teaching her workshop attendees how to make their own organic, artisan crusty sourdough and delicious homemade cheeses. Additionally, Susan’s appreciation of beautiful things and sustainable slow fashion, has led her down a path of exploration and experimentation towards naturally dyed fabrics using food waste and plant-based dyes. By building the foundations of knowledge, Susan believes this empowers her attendees, so they are comfort to create their own masterpieces.

Susan was an excellent teacher. Everything was provided for the workshop and she was always checking in to make sure everyone understood and was comfortable with all the tasks. Loved the class and it was great to be able to take a finished product home with me.

I really enjoyed this class, ended up with a bag that has an image on each side and great new skills that I can now create my own indigo vat!

Loved absolutely everything. Susan was a great teacher and the venue was also great.
Just wish I could do another shibori class with Susan.
And I came home with some lovely items made by myself.

Teacher's response

I realised a Classbento gift voucher from my children to attend the shibori/indigo dyeing workshop with Susan this morning. Susan is a friendly, knowledgeable and patient teacher, I would gladly do more workshops with her. The world of Shibori and indigo dyeing is fascinating and pardon the pun, I have only dipped my toes in it yet. Woollongabba Substation I thought was a perfect space for this workshop, quiet, airy, well equipped, plenty of outdoor space, good parking.

Teacher's response

thanks for a lovely morning Rohini.
