We had no idea what we were getting ourselves into. But luckily, this workshop was filled with information, fun, and creativity! Being able to shop for little decor pieces for your terrarium in house made it easy to get creative with design, and the Shar giving confidence in us as beginners was really motivating and comforting. Thank you for such a wonderful workshop...we will be back! I need to buy more ceramic frogs for my ecosystem :)

She loves what she is doing and that was evident, because her enthusiasm is catchy! She was also able to advise about plants to be used and how plants could be placed for maximum effect. She also knew a lot about soils etc. It was a fantastic experience. Thank you.

I felt capable, engaged and seen, so that I could proceed with confidence. I love the terrarium that I made and I can't wait to tell people that I made it myself. The group size was perfect and fun and it couldn't have been any better!

I was surprised at the size of the final product, and very happy with how it turned out. The shop itself is a little wonderland that is worth a visit alone.

Nice small class and a great teacher. Lots of materials and surprised I walked out with a gorgeous quite large finished terrarium.

My fiance & I built a terrarium each, we went in with no knowledge and came out feeling confident in making them on our own. Loved the small class size, hands on and that we could make it our own. Loved picking our own little additions to purchase after in store there was a good range. We called to use our gift card. And we really like that our teacher is the owner of Bonista to meet her and learn about her specialty. Thanks Char & Bonista!

Char was a fantastic teacher—clear, friendly, and full of helpful tips. One thing that really stuck with me is how surprisingly important rocks are when you’re creating a scene! I’m so glad my partner and I did this class together—we not only learned a lot, but also got to take home a beautiful terrarium we’re proud of. Thanks Char.

There are lots of tips on how to make additional terrarium and excellent explanations of “why” to do specific things. Terrarium comes with a care card too so all the important stuff is written down! Char is a great teacher who is excited to share her knowledge. No request is too much, and she takes her time to assist. Every time I attend one of Char’s classes I learn something new. There is so much to know about plants and terrarium making. Everything about Botanista from the owner to the shop is worth taking time out for.
