In this vibrant jewellery making class in Perth, you'll learn how to create your own distinctive drop earrings with beads from scratch. You'll craft a standout piece and master the art of attaching colourful beads. Don't fret if you're a beginner – this workshop is tailored for those new to jewellery making. Our seasoned jeweller will personally guide you through each step, ensuring you feel at ease and empowered as you dive into this creative activity.

Throughout the 4 ½-hour workshop, you'll have a dedicated workbench equipped with all the essential tools. The intimate class size, limited to four participants, allows for personalised instruction and support. You'll get hands-on experience with professional jeweller’s tools, gaining valuable insights into the craft of jewellery making.

By the end of the class, not only will you have a stunning pair of earrings to flaunt, but you'll also have acquired newfound skills in jewellery making. Delight in this fun and creative activity, where you can unleash your inner artist and proudly take home a beautiful piece of jewellery you crafted yourself.

This is a beginner course, so no need to worry; lots of help is available.
This is a beginner’s class, and all training will be provided. Throughout this class, you will learn what a real jeweller’s bench looks and feels like. You will be guided step by step using tools and equipment:

• Designing and creating a concept first
• Using prepared patterned stamped Sterling Silver shapes
• OR create your own pattern by stamping
• Cutting shapes with a disc cutter or create free form
• Soldering parts together and working with a mini/little torch
• Learning to make jump-rings in a variety of sizes
• Learn to add beads
• Some filing and sanding with emery paper
• Learning to use foot-controlled bench micro motor
• Wet brushing, emerging, texturing, and polishing
• Ultrasonic cleaning
• Finishing your work with different tools and techniques

Please note that all materials are charged separately. Different types of beads are for sale. Calculate around $30 and please pay cash on the day.

The workshop is temperature controlled. TEA, COFFEE, and WATER provided. Attendees should bring:

• $30 - cash for the costs of metals.
• Bring your glasses for better viewing the work you do.
• Wear enclosed footwear.
• Hair must be worn out of face and up/ponytail.
• Wear comfy clothes, it can get messy. Jeans or long leggings, no dress or skirt.
• BYO lunch or snacks if needed.
