Let's master one of the most crucial elements of organic gardening: composting!
In this gardening workshop, we’ll demystify the composting process, showing you how to turn kitchen scraps and yard waste into “black gold” for your garden. We’ll discuss the best materials to include (and what to avoid), how to maintain your compost pile, and the ideal conditions for decomposition. You’ll learn about the benefits of composting, not just for your garden but also for the environment, as it reduces waste and promotes regenerative living.
We'll also learn about the correct management of your compost heap for zero smells or rodents, and set up a new worm farm so you can have that 'liquid gold' on tap to feed your veggies.
Come learn all about composting, gardening and sustainability in Katoomba!
This workshop is part of our Just Start Gardening Series and is supported by the Blue Mountains City Council

I am a permaculture designer and passionate food-grower! I believe the world would be a happier, healthier, more connected place if we brought food production closer to home and re-kindled old skills.
I also focus on home and community resilience for tough times; be that water conservation & re-use, waste into soil-building, food forests, small livestock, and community connection using permaculture design.
I studied with the world-renowned Geoff Lawton for my Permaculture Design Certificate. I gained my Permaculture Teaching Certificate with esteemed permaculture educator Rowe Morrow.
I look forward to sharing knowledge with you!
