A hands-on clay art camp designed for curious, creative kids of all skill levels. Owned by a professional sculptor and ceramic artist, children will explore hand-building with coloured clay, including marbling techniques — creating real ceramic pieces that can be fired and used, not just temporary crafts. No pottery wheels, just making, shaping, and experimenting.
Working with clay naturally supports the development of fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and spatial awareness, while also encouraging patience, focus, and problem-solving through making.
Over the course of the camp, children explore a range of age-appropriate clay and sculpture activities, including:
  • Hand-building vessels
  • Pinching and sculpting animals or fantasy characters
  • Creating patterned and marbled surfaces with coloured clay
  • Painting clay pieces using fresh, ready-made clay paints
  • Painting and decorating finished pottery pieces (such as colouring forms or painting images on mugs)
  • Learning how to glaze selected works and prepare them for kiln firing (for children with the patience and motor skills required)
  • Creating leaf bowls and textured pottery using natural materials and organic forms
Rather than following a single set project, each child will receive tasks tailored to their age, ability, and interests. Some may focus on functional pottery, others on sculptural or imaginative forms — every child works at a level that feels right for them.
For the purposes of this website, the camp is listed for ages 8–14. In practice, groups will be split by age where needed, or — in smaller groups — projects will be thoughtfully adapted so every child receives an appropriate and engaging clay project.
Space:
Children will spend their time in a beautifully renovated terrace studio, designed to feel calm, welcoming, and comfortable. One of the spaces features carpets, soft seating, chairs, and cushions — creating a relaxed environment, not an industrial or warehouse-style setting.
Throughout the camp, children are guided by two classically trained, professional artists, both with formal fine arts education and extensive experience working with clay, sculpture, and painting.
This is not a craft session or “keep-them-busy” activity. Children are supported to develop ideas, solve visual problems, and gain confidence through making.
Projects are thoughtfully planned so returning children continue to develop new skills and ideas rather than repeating the same work.
What you'll get
  • A wide range of clays, coloured clays, and ceramic paints
  • All tools, pre-shaped templates, reference samples, and demonstration pieces

Hi, I'm Irina.
I like to introduce myself as a sculptor, although I'm engaged in different art disciplines too. I have never had another profession, nor have I wanted one. I fell in love with three-dimensional art at a very early age which came to me naturally, as I was born in a family of artists. It was the world I've grown up in, a measure of value around me.
I have graduated from Fine Arts, majoring in Sculpture, and with a bit of luck, I had a chance to work internationally and gain great experience in different industries and media. Cooperating with professionals from other creative fields has perfectioned my skills and broadened the views of my artistic expression.
I have tried to gather all the projects I am engaged in on this website, showcase it, sell and teach my art. Always open for the new projects with fellow creatives, just get in touch.
