What you'll do
Looking for a fresh, creative activity these school holidays? In this fun and hands-on workshop, kids will explore the art of textile screen printing to create their own unique, multi-layered, summer-inspired design.Using a curated selection of pre-made screens and vibrant colours, they’ll print onto a pillowcase, tea towel, or tote bag—experimenting with composition, layering, and colour choices to create a design that’s 100% their own.Whether they go bold and bright or soft and subtle, this is a chance for kids to dive deeper into the screen printing process and produce something practical they’ll love to use at home (or gift proudly).This session is perfect for kids who’ve enjoyed our previous screen printing workshops, as well as creative kids who are keen to try it for the first time!What Kids Will Learn:
- How screen printing works and how layered designs are built
- How to plan and position different elements using pre-made screens
- How to work with multiple ink colours and experiment with layering techniques
- How to print onto textiles such as pillowcases, tea towels, or tote bags
- Our secure space is only accessible to participants.
- All instructors have valid Working with Children Checks.
- Parents must drop off and pick up children in person and complete a short admission form.

Knowledge required
This workshop is designed for kids aged 8–12. It’s suitable for both first-time printers and those who’ve attended our previous screen printing classes and want to build on their skills.
What to bring
- A packed lunch, snacks, and a water bottle
- Please avoid foods containing nuts or common allergens (as a courtesy to other participants).
- Kids should wear old clothes or bring an apron – things may get messy!

Rebecca grew up in a large family where money was tight, after school activities where mostly homegrown and usually involved a sheet of cardboard, a glue stick and some glitter!
