Kids Teen Print Studio: Screen Printing Workshop (Ages 12–15)

Build your own surf-inspired print using bold graphics and layered designs.

11 to 15 years     6 hours Class size 10 to 16 guests       $135 (PayPal Pay in 4 available)

In this hands-on school holiday workshop, older kids and teens will explore screen printing in a more design-led way—creating their own surf-inspired tote bag using a curated range of bold graphic elements.
Rather than working with a single design, participants will build their own composition using up to three different screens. Choosing from a collection of surf-style graphics, students will layer elements to create a balanced and visually striking print.
We’ll guide them through how to place and combine their designs so the final result feels intentional and well-composed. Each student will create their own tote bag and can also choose to bring a t-shirt from home to print an additional design if they wish.
This workshop is perfect for kids ready to take their screen printing a step further, experimenting with layout, layering, and personal style to create something that feels more considered and unique.
Why They Will Love It:
This workshop is a great fit for both first-time printers and returning students who’ve already joined our screen printing classes. Kids who’ve printed with us before will love building on what they’ve learned—using multiple screens to layer colours and create a more considered, graphic design.
Each participant will leave with a tote (and optional t-shirt) that feels bold, balanced, and completely their own.
What they'll learn:
  • How screen printing works using single-colour screens
  • How to build a design using multiple elements
  • How to layer prints to create a balanced composition
  • How to place designs for a strong visual result
  • How to apply fabric ink using a squeegee
Safety and Drop-Off Information:
  • Our secure space is only accessible to participants.
  • All instructors have valid Working with Children Checks.
  • Parents must drop off and pick up children in person and complete a short admission form.

Creating balance with creativity & connection

Made by Me Workshop is about helping people to connect with their "inner creative" and have some fun while making beautiful things from quality materials in our friendly & vibrant studio space in the heart of the inner west!
Established in 2017 after Rebecca Doyle decided to take a career break and chose to revisit her childhood love for arts & crafts. Rebecca grew up in a large family where money was tight, after school activities where mostly homegrown and usually involved a sheet of cardboard, a glue stick and some glitter! It is probably no surprise to learn that Rebecca followed a creative path to study Fashion & Textile Design at University!
After a few more decades (than Rebecca will publicly admit to) and a long and varied career in the fashion industry, Rebecca wanted to get back to creating beautiful, one-of-a-kind objects - Made By Me Workshop is the result of where this path led.
Rebecca loves that moment of pride that comes over each participant's face when they look at what they have created and say to themselves "Wow - I made this & I love it!"
Made by Me Workshop run a variety of creative workshops, hen’s parties, private parties and corporate events from their warehouse space in St Peters including Resin Art, Resin Jewellery & Mould Making, Soap Making, Terrazzo Homewares, Punch Needle, Macrame and many more.
