What you'll do
Do you and your team share a love of Mexican food? Join us in the Adelaide Hills where you can learn how to cook everyone's favourite Mexican flavours together!
At Sticky Rice Cooking School, we hold team building activities that will help to break down personal barriers, initiate effective communication and have your team bonding together over new learnt skill sets, fine food and wine and a fun and inspiring day away from the office.
What's on the menu?
- Tacos with a Queso fresco cheese.
- Grilled corn seasoned with chilli and cayenne, drizzled with mayonnaise and queso fresco.
- Prawn and tequila ceviche SA king prawns ‘cooked’ in tequila and lime juice served with avocado, cucumber, and tomato salsa.
- Chicken fajita: marinated and then charred chicken, capsicums, and onion served in freshly cooked corn tortillas.
- Beef mole: minced beef cooked with tomatoes, spices and finished with dark chocolate to add rich slightly bitter under notes, served in crisp tacos.
- Red cabbage and pickled jalapeno chilli slaw.
- Mexican milk cake: a light sponge cake soaked in a syrup made from condensed milk, evaporated milk, and cream.
During the class, you will learn how to make your own tortillas and taco shells using traditional masa harina corn flour as well as make Queso fresco cheese from scratch.
When we have finished cooking, you and your team can sit down to enjoy your Mexican feast with a glass of wine or beer.

Claire Fuller the proprietor wanted something more than a cooking class which was confined to a set of recipes or delivered in a soulless kitchen; she wanted something more than a demonstration by a celebrity chef once a year, and she wanted something more than a basic level of tuition but without the formality of chef school. From this desire, was born Sticky Rice Cooking School, a place where the food journey you choose, takes you on a first-class cooking and cultural experience and delivers a wealth of knowledge and fun along the way.
