Working remotely and looking for fun team-building activities around Australia?
From the comfort of your home, share a special cultural experience of food, stories, and trivia quiz with your friends, family, or colleagues, or enjoy with like-minded others.

It is easy to love Middle Eastern food. Creamy hummus, tasty falafel and smoky baba ganosh, but have you ever wondered what secrets are woven into the dishes made with our beloved Tetta’s (Grandmother’s) delicate recipes?

Join award-winning singer and storyteller, Aseel Tayah with her passion for the art of sharing food and entwining stories and songs in this sumptuous live streaming cooking class.

Aseel’s cooking classes give to participants the gift of connection to the Middle East through food and song in a truly unique experience that will fill your kitchen with love and recipes that will be cherished for years to come.

Aseel’s classes are also an ideal experience for organisations looking to bring team members together in an inclusive and relaxing online learning environment.

On the menu:

  • Starter: Smoky Baba Ghanosh dip - a delicious Middle Eastern dip of eggplant, pomegranate molasses and sumac. To eat with Peta bread as a starter.
  • Salad: Fattosh - This tangy salad is one of the Middle East's greatest contributions to world culture. Crispy lettuce, crunchy fried squares of pita, such an amazing dish to share.
  • Main: Mujaddara- Comfort food favourite. Lentils and rice are cooked together with a combination of spices that includes a heavy dose of cumin, topped off with crispy, fried onions, which provide the perfect crunchy contrast to the soft rice and lentil blend.

At the end of this unique live streaming class, you will have a delicious Middle Eastern feast to enjoy and all the skills and recipes to recreate these creations.

Aseel was a delight and so easy to work with. She was so patient with the 16 of us having different speeds of cooking. The food was delicious and we completed all 3 dishes within the 2 hours, amazing. We loved the music that was played throughout and hearing about Aseel's humanitarian projects, you are an inspiration.
