What you'll do
Creative Corner Studio in Sydney’s Inner West offers after school and weekend classes throughout the year in a fun and inspired environment. Each week, the kids are introduced to a new project which can range from technique based drawing and paintings, paper collage, clay and sculpture, to experimental “invitation to create” classes.The children are introduced to artists and art history, as well as gently encouraged to develop and experiment with their own style.A finished artwork will be taken home every week.

She wants to go back every week. Jen is a truly great art instructor who is so patient with the kids and creates a welcoming atmosphere. She lets them explore and learn without being overbearing. I was impressed by how well she handled the mixed-age group; it felt inclusive and not intimidating at all. For parents, the class is super flexible—you can stay and watch or take a break to grab a few things from the nearby IGA. The location is also fantastic, a quiet residential spot in Dulwich Hill with easy parking, just a short walk to the downtown area.

My name is Jen and I am passionate about encouraging creativity in students of all ages. Creative Kids Co was founded 11 years ago as a way to encourage and guide children through their own artistic journeys. I am also the co-creator of IMOK (Art, T-shirts & Design), established in 2004, which opened up the door to commission and exhibit my own artworks, complete illustrations for a series of books, as well as sell my wares at design markets nationwide. I have also held live art demonstrations and was the featured artist with US Surf/Skate Company Volcom. My current passion is working with resin and urban illustration. Most recently I have opened Creative Corner Studio in Dulwich Hill, an exciting space hosting all things creative for kids and adults. Reach out and let’s create together.
