Nature-inspired Watercolour Class

This relaxing watercolour class in Sydney’s Inner West is designed to be supportive, welcoming, and genuinely enjoyable for any skill level. Each week we explore nature-inspired subjects that go a little beyond the usual. Think rare orchids rather than generic florals, iridescent beetles instead of everyday insects, and richly coloured fish, butterflies, botanicals and more. New topics are posted every month and students are welcome to suggest ideas for future classes. Each workshop, you’ll explore techniques like wet-on-wet blending, dry brush texture, layering, gradients, and lifting to create your own vibrant mini artworks.We are a queer and neurodivergent friendly space. Taught by local artist Ru Biini, this series is perfect for beginners, but equally suited to those with experience who want to hone their watercolour skills. Classes are intentionally calm, creating an offline space to slow down, focus, and enjoy the process. Many students tell us the biggest surprise is how meditative and restorative the sessions feel.
