Shan Kennedy Art was birthed in 2018 when Shan picked up a brush for the very first time to release a creative urge and alleviate the stress of her everyday work at the time.
After experiencing the significant benefits of mindful art making first hand on her nervous system, Shan knew it was something she couldn’t live without. Having a background in neurological rehabilitation as a physiotherapist, Shan applied her own neuroscience knowledge to herself during the art making process and found transformative methods of self exploration, self discovery, and nervous system regulation especially when applied with movement therapy and somatic awareness. This is where the ‘Move with Art’ Concept came alive, and helped Shan in her own personal healing journey after her life took a sudden unexpected turn in 2022.
Shan has created workshops that imbed the very methods that guided her from the midst of survival mode, to one of inner peace and transformation. Shan hopes for her workshops to empower others to take charge of their lives by raising their consciousness of themselves through their mind-body connection, and realising their unlimited potential.
