  • 4/5 from Cassandra Ristic, attended Mar 2026: Mardi was excellent. The class was relaxed and happy. There were non-alcoholic options for me, who doesn't drink. We were allowed to bring our own produce to pickle, which was great fun. Lots of information and ways to pickle at home. Down side was the size of the class. Mardi did her best to do everything and be there for everyone, but the kitchen was a little crowded. I would have also liked a bit more guidance on what flavours go well together.

  • 5/5 from Linda Shmith, attended Dec 2025: A warm welcome from Maddi was followed by sampling a variety of pickles and 2 breads, one gluten free. Clear instructions, everything set up for us to select and chop our vegetables of choice then Maddi added the pickling solution and popped them into the boiling water. Next we had a run through on finely slicing 1kg of cabbage, Maddi measured the salt then massage until equal parts macerated cabbage and liquid. Fennel seeds for me and away I went. Thanks for the notes and fun class, Maddi.
