What you'll do
Looking for fun things to do in Brisbane? Discover how to create your very own statement resin jewellery by creating bangles and rings with YouTube sensation Sheri Vegas!
You will learn how to mix resin, add colour with various techniques, and pour and finish your pieces. Your wonderful jewellery pieces will be ready for you to take home on the day.
The workshop will start with a brief explanation and demonstration of what resin is, how it works and how to use it, focusing on various mixing techniques. This will enable you to work quickly and efficiently in pouring your resin into the silicone jewellery moulds supplied. A number of different moulds will be available at the workshop for you to choose from.
Next, you will be able to get hands-on with the resin and create your very own pieces. During the workshops we use an opaque resin that starts out clear but sets white, creating a lovely base for the jewellery, we will then use a variety of different colours to create unique, one-of-a-kind jewellery.
The techniques you will learn within the class can be used on main different types of resin for you to be able to create your own goodies at home.
Once the resin is set, you will learn how to sand and finish your jewellery ready for you to take home.
This class is suitable for children 11 and up with a guardian to help them when working with the resin. 14 and up may be unsupervised.

If you’re wanting to do this workshop as a private party please note that if you have less than 7 people there is a $170 studio hire fee on top of the cost of the class. If you have 7 or more there is no studio hire fee.

Sheri Vegas is a Brisbane based abstract artist specialising in Resin Art and Flow acrylic painting. Sheri has always had a passion for art since she was young and has received multiple art and creative design awards. She is passionate about sharing her love for resin art and has created a beginners resin art workshops, so you can also develop your own passion for this unique art form.
