Sick of mundane fast fashion? Want to express yourself through outfits that actually reflect who you are? Maybe you’re a big fan of Apfel or Kusama? We got you. This isn’t your grandma’s sewing circle. This is a crash course in sewing for people who want to crop that shirt, patch those pants, or make a sick little bag (or eight). Textile artist and maker Jeni Lausch will show you how to get comfortable on a sewing machine, navigate basic construction and repair skills, and leave with a finished piece you actually want to wear or use. No perfectionism. No pressure. Just practical skills, creative chaos, and excellent vibes. Whether you’re looking to save your favourite jeans, make something from scratch, or start yourself down a highly addictive tailoring trail, this is your entry point. Let’s be real, there’s nothing better than a well-fitting fit. All experience levels welcome - especially none! This class is limited to 8 participants, so secure a spot on the machine for you and anyone you want to learn with. Please note: This class requires at least 5 students to run. In the unlikely event that we don't get this number of students, we'll cancel the class and fully refund you and inform you via email, so please watch your email a few days prior to the class.

What you'll get

- All fabrics, materials, and sewing machines provided

- Step-by-step guidance from Jeni

- A chill, supportive studio space

- Good tunes, tea & coffee, and plenty of scrap bin treasure

What to bring

An old tee, pair of pants, or scrap you’re dying to revive, or nothing at all… nothing at all… nothing at all…

Suitable for

This class is perfect for beginners - no prior experience is needed.
