Sugar Craft: Personal Figurine Making Course

A slow Creative afternoon you normally never make time for!

3 x 2.5 hours Class size 3 to 6 guests

$270 ($290 per guest when you book for 1 guest, $270/guest for 2+ guests) (PayPal Pay in 4 available)

This cake decorating class is designed for adults and confident young creators who want to craft their own edible cake toppers—perfect for impressing guests at your next celebration or displaying as a decorative keepsake!
Since fondant figure-making involves multiple steps, this workshop consists of three sessions, each lasting for two hours and half an hour break at the middle.
Set in a tranquil home studio with a leafy outlook, you'll receive a warm welcome and enjoy morning or afternoon tea, allowing you to unwind and fully immerse yourself in this hands-on creative experience. Surrounded by the sweet aroma of fondant and the soothing feel of soft textures, you'll find this process both mindful and rewarding.
The figurine will be made with special modeling sugar paste - very rare find in Sydney, exported from Italy. It's not only special with its perfect texture for modeling, its flavor and aroma is next to none. You will find yourself so relaxed surrounded by the sweet scents but brain getting focused from using the sense of finger tips during the session.
Session 1: Foundation & Sculpting
  • Build the base structure of your figurine
  • Learn face sculpting techniques
  • Shape hand details, including fingers
  • Body assembling
Session 2: Adding details
  • Apply hairstyle
  • Select and prepare the outfit design
  • Select and prepare the shoe design
Session 3: Decoration & Final Touches
  • Decorate your figurine with your own creative choices
  • Put some makeup to bring your figure to life
  • Surface Cleaning
  • Pack up your figurine in a box to take home securely
Throughout the workshop, you’ll be fully guided step by step through the fundamentals of fondant shaping and assembly. You’re also encouraged to add personal touches and experiment with your favourite techniques along the way!
At the end of the three consecutive sessions, you’ll take home your very own "Minime" fondant figure—along with the knowledge of how to store it properly before and after your special event.

Welcome to Minime on the Cake's Sugar & Clay Figure Workshop.
Hi my name is Rie, call me Leah (It's a Japanese name but pronounces exactly like Leah) Over a decade ago, I started creating custom-made, look-alike fondant figurines for special occasions. These fully edible, personalized cake toppers not only added a magical touch to cakes but also filled the air with a delightful sweet aroma—captivating customers and making them an instant hit!
As demand grew, many customers wished to preserve their figurines as keepsakes. To make that possible, we introduced polymer clay, allowing these cherished miniatures to last forever.
After years of trial, refinement, and perfecting our techniques, we’re now ready to share our expert skills, special tools, and the best materials with you—so you, too, can create stunning figurines for your own special occasions!
