Not quite your birthday, but just as much fun when you unwrap your parcel, brush away the botanicals to see what you and nature have created.

Marvel at your unique creation

Marvel at Your Unique Creation

Share your beautiful silk printed item, show off to friends, give as a gift (Mothers day is fast approaching) or simply take home some of West Australia's beautiful South West and memories of a lovely day well spent with friends.

Head to Roelands, where you will be inspired by the wonderful views and guided by Barbara, to create a timeless and unique keepsake. Great as a souvenir of a trip to the South West or a gift for yourself or a loved one.
You’ll work with dried and semi-dried leaves and petals (depending on the season) and mordants using steam and pressure to imprint patterns and designs onto silk, a scarf, cushion, or linen/cotton/silk garment of your choice (see schedule for which).
Join our small workshop (4-6 students) where you’ll meet new friends and experience the wonder and excitement of natural eco-printing and take home something truly unique, as well as a big smile!

I’ve been crafting ever since I can remember. It is a love that was passed down through my grandmothers and mum. We were always creating something, from making clothes on the sewing machine, knitting & crochet, to making cards and gifts with paper and cloth or food. I was blessed to have a wonderful art teacher, Gerry Ffrench, who inspired me to draw and paint. Dad taught me photography and Grandad inspired my love of local history and nature. So I couldn’t help but be happiest creating something. When my husband & I moved to the beautiful South West of WA, a craft room was a must, and when we designed our own home, it was top of my wish list. Now we are here, I’d love to share the views and space with you. The garden is a work in progress – well, the whole house is, truth be told, but the love is here and craftiness is waiting to be unleashed. I’ve been teaching crafts for over fifteen years, mostly paper-craft of one sort or another, but I’m always up to learn new things and hope you are too. Sometimes I’ll be the one teaching and other times we’ll have ‘guest tutors’ who are experts in their own field to share their love and knowledge. My goal is always to connect with each other and have fun, create something unique (not just slightly different versions of the same thing) and build friendships alongside new skills.
