Putting the Techniques Into Practice

Painting some small objects in different styles to create masterpieces

We spend so much of our lives rushing, consuming, and trying to be productive that many of us forget what it feels like to simply create.
Cosy Create is a gentle watercolour workshop designed for people who want to slow down, notice beauty, and make something without any pressure.
No experience is needed. There’s no expectation to create a masterpiece.
Together, we will explore colour, curiosity, and ordinary natural objects like leaves, bark, flowers, and seed pods, learning to mix and observe as a group rather than focusing on perfection.
Fancy tea included. Nervous beginners welcome.

Hi, I’m Rehana, a Sydney based watercolour artist, a former STEM nerd and a big fan of life’s quiet and beautiful moments.
My work began during a difficult season of life. After experiencing cancer and later becoming a full-time carer for my daughter, painting became a way for me to slow down, reconnect with myself, and notice beauty in ordinary everyday moments again.
A lot of my early paintings were created while waiting in school carparks, using found objects from the playground as inspiration. Leaves, seed pods, feathers, bark and tiny overlooked treasures became the focus of my work and slowly shaped my artistic practice. I became fascinated by colour, observation and the small details we often rush past.
I created Cozy Create workshops because I realised how many adults feel disconnected from creativity. So many people believe they’re “not artistic” or feel pressure to make something perfect before they even begin.
My workshops are designed to be the opposite of that.
These sessions are about slowing down, being curious, experimenting with colour and creating in a relaxed and welcoming space without judgement or expectations. I love helping people reconnect with creativity in a gentle and approachable way, especially people who haven’t painted since they were children.
You don’t need experience, talent or technical knowledge to join. Just curiosity.
When I’m teaching, my favourite moments are watching people relax into the process, let go of perfectionism, and surprise themselves with what they create.
