Wildwood Stitch Embroidery Workshop in Sydney

Join us to learn how to slow stitch with hand-dyed yarns on block printed fabric

3 hours Class size 1 to 15 guests

$165 (Afterpay & PayPal Pay in 4 available)

Explore the joy of slow stitching in this relaxing embroidery workshop with acclaimed textile artist Pauline Franklyn. Working onto colourful cotton fabrics that have been block-printed with her Wildwood design, you’ll bring the pattern to life using hand-dyed wool yarns. Pauline will also demonstrate the block-printing process so you can try it at home if you’d like.
In this class, you’ll learn a range of embroidery stitches including backstitch, lazy daisy, French knots, chain stitch, and fly stitch. You’ll be encouraged to choose your own colour palette from Pauline’s beautiful hand-dyed yarns and add your personal touch with texture and detail.
By the end of the workshop, you’ll have created a unique embroidered piece that can be framed as art or transformed into a practical item such as a needle case, pocket, or decorative insert.
This is a morning of mindful making, colour play, and gentle creativity – the perfect way to recharge while learning new embroidery skills in a welcoming studio environment.

Made by Me Workshop is about helping people to connect with their "inner creative" and have some fun while making beautiful things from quality materials in our friendly & vibrant studio space in the heart of the inner west!
Established in 2017 after Rebecca Doyle decided to take a career break and chose to revisit her childhood love for arts & crafts. Rebecca grew up in a large family where money was tight, after school activities where mostly homegrown and usually involved a sheet of cardboard, a glue stick and some glitter! It is probably no surprise to learn that Rebecca followed a creative path to study Fashion & Textile Design at University!
After a few more decades (than Rebecca will publicly admit to) and a long and varied career in the fashion industry, Rebecca wanted to get back to creating beautiful, one-of-a-kind objects - Made By Me Workshop is the result of where this path led.
Rebecca loves that moment of pride that comes over each participant's face when they look at what they have created and say to themselves "Wow - I made this & I love it!"
Made by Me Workshop run a variety of creative workshops, hen’s parties, private parties and corporate events from their warehouse space in St Peters including Resin Art, Resin Jewellery & Mould Making, Soap Making, Terrazzo Homewares, Punch Needle, Macrame and many more.
