Alcohol Ink Art Workshop for Beginners

Discover how to paint with alcohol inks in Redcliffe

2 hours Class size 1 to 10

label $60 (or 4 payments of $15 Afterpay)

Learn how to use vibrant colours with alcohol inks and create works of art with Kai in her Redcliffe art studio.

In this beginners class, you will learn how to create an abstract painting and some skills in creating a more controlled subject like a flower. You will be able to practice on a few different sheets of paper first and then finish off with your final painting that you can take home, show off and frame.

Alcohol inks are a gorgeous way of creating free-flowing and delicate looking paintings. They are also a lot of fun and a great social experience. Masks will be available and are recommended at times when using ink.

You will be working in a well-ventilated space that reduces the impact of the alcohol and ink gasses. Inks are messy and don't come off the fabric so dress accordingly. Aprons are provided as well as gloves.

Tea, coffee and snacks will be provided and the class will take place at the Bluebell Art Studio in Redcliffe. This will be a fun and informative evening where you are guaranteed to come home with a gorgeous piece of art that you will cherish forever!

Come with your friends or come solo and meet some new like-minded people!

I am a young Australian creator who has taken the leap, quit my nine-to-five job and decided to start my own small business. I have an art studio located in Redcliffe, Queensland and from there I spend most of my days painting and/or crafting. I also utilise this space to host workshops that are taught by myself, or by guest hosts who are also local Brisbane creators.

The venue was great. All materials were provided and I brought home 2 out of 4 paintings that I liked. The teachers were interactive and very helpful and showed us ways to improve on what we learned earlier on in the night. Tea, coffee and snacks were also provided which was a nice touch.

What a fun class this was! It was hands on right from the start with plenty of opportunity to experiment. The teachers were great, encouraging us to enjoy the medium and the freedom is gives to be created. We all went home with something we would be happy to frame (I think). Working with alcohol/ink is unpredictable but that's the fun bit. You never quite know what you'll create. Thank you for a great workshop.

Fantastic class and really excellent teachers. They explained everything really well, and there was lots of chance to practise and try different techniques.

Venue was very nice and welcoming with lovely snacks and tea provided. The teachers were great—they let you get on with things but were there to help if and when you needed it. Great value for money and good fun! Have even had a few people say they think I should sell a couple of the pictures I made which is pretty cool for a first attempt! Definitely a great class for beginners-you don’t need to be artistic to make it look good
