Come spend an afternoon with us on this practical introduction to Blacksmithing, and go home with your very own hand forged results to show for it!
You will experience shaping steel with hammer and fire, as well as learn a bit about the forge, anvil, tools and techniques used in blacksmithing.
This is a great workshop for a bit of teamwork or catching up with a friend, as you team up in pairs and help each other hold and hammer to each create a bottle opener to bring home.
Get a group of friends together, as a company teamwork exercise, or an active bucks party/hens party before going on to one of the many breweries in Brookvale.
What is included in this workshop?
- Blacksmithing overview: Tools, processes, safety briefing
- All materials required (carbon steel, hammers, tongs, anvil, gas forge, PPE)

- Two hours will be spent forging with 30 mins for safety/process at the beginning, and a 30 min beer/soda break at the end.

No prior skills or experience required other than general fitness enough to lift a light hammer above your head for a minute or two at the time for the forging time of max two hours.
This is very beginner-friendly and we are there to help if needed.
